Riverdale, NY - Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) and
Tykei Greene (Queens, NY / Long Island Lutheran) have been voted the ATAX Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, November 11 through Sunday, November 17.
Warley, a junior on the women's basketball team, snagged her first double-double of the season and hit the game-winner with five seconds left to play against Fairleigh Dickinson. In addition to giving the Jaspers the go-ahead basket, she scored six of Manhattan's final 10 points in the last 1:35 of the game. Warley pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds and scored a team-high 17 points. She also contributed a steal, an assist, and a block while committing no turnovers in 34 minutes of playing time.
Greene, a sophomore on the men's basketball team, led the Jaspers to a pair of wins thanks to averaging a team-best 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He opened the season with a team-high 15 points with five rebounds in a rousing win over Delaware State. Greene then scored a career-high 17 points with a career-best nine rebounds in a thrilling victory over UAlbany. Down the stretch, he scored 10 of the final 14 Manhattan points, including putting the game on ice with a three-point play.
