Riverdale, NY - Ella O'Brien (Hadley, MA / Hopkins Academy) and
Artur Polyak (Haifa, Israel / Pittsburgh) have been voted the ATAX Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, November 4 through Sunday, November 10.
O'Brien, a junior on the women's rowing team, took part in three races for the Jaspers this past week, helping the varsity 4+ squad to a victory at the Frostbite Regatta in Pennsauken, PA on November 9. Her varsity 8+ team also beat Loyola (MD) by nearly 20 seconds in the Braxton Memorial Regatta the following day.
Polyak, a junior swimmer, captured the 100-yard backstroke title with a time of 55.09 against Saint Peter's on November 10. He also helped the men's 200-meter medley team to a second-place finish in the meet.
