Riverdale, NY - Senior Annie Doerr (Pittsford, NY / Our Lady Of Mercy) of the women's soccer team and junior Marcellin Gohier (Nantes, France / CENS) of the men's soccer team have been named the Manhattan College ATAX Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of August 27-September 2.
Doerr led the Jaspers to their first win of the year at Jacksonville, scoring what would prove to be the game-winning goal in the 87th minute.
Gohier was a major factor in two Manhattan victories while also earning MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. He made two saves in the Jaspers' 3-1 win over California Baptist. He followed that up with his second shutout of the season, earning five second-half saves to down preseason NEC favorite St. Francis Brooklyn 2-0.
