Riverdale, NY - Senior Alyssa Rehrer (Lorton, VA / South County) of the volleyball team and sophomore Berti Fourrier (Marseille, France / IFC Marseille) of the men's soccer team have been named the Manhattan College ATAX Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of August 20-26.
Rehrer was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2018 St. John's Jack Kaiser Classic this past weekend. She played all of the Jaspers' nine sets during the tournament, totaling 54 digs over three matches. Her 6.0 digs per set average was the best in the MAAC coming out of the weekend.
Fourrier made an immediate impact in his first game as a Jasper, notching the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute to lift Manhattan over Navy 1-0 on Friday, August 24. He became the first men's soccer player in eight years to score in both the season opener and his Manhattan debut. Entering Thursday's game against St. Francis Brooklyn, the sophomore leads the team with three points in the opening two games of the season.
