New York, NY - Team Jasper Strong, comprised of 350-plus Manhattan student-athletes and staff members, participated in The American Cancer Society "Making Strides For A Cure" 5K walk on Sunday, October 16 in Central Park.

"As someone who has had their lives affected by multiple kinds of cancer, including breast cancer, I found the presence of everyone who attended comforting," said Dan Dixon of the Men's Swimming & Diving Team. "The support from our student athletes was overwhelming and I'm happy we were all able to take part in such a great cause."
Out of the 14,441 men and women who attended the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk, 350 represented Team Jasper Strong of Manhattan College," said Kat Prevo of the Softball Team. "It was a phenomenal experience to witness the amount of energy, love and pink passion spread on Sunday as we walked through Central Park. The Manhattan Athletic Department's participation in the event provided an opportunity to spread awareness within our college community and beyond. Sunday's walk was decorated with Jasper green and pink pride and I was beyond happy to part take in such a empowering event!"
