Manhattan College Welcomes Graduate Assistants

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan College welcomes four graduate assistants, Dylan Horowitz (sports information), Teresa Moran (business office), Keri Morrison (compliance) and Milos Vuckovic (equipment & operations) to the athletic department for the 2010-11 season.

Dylan Horowitz (Marlboro, N.J.), comes to Manhattan College from Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. During his tenure in Columbus, Ohio, he worked in many facets of the school media department including, writing for the school newspaper (The Lantern), anchoring and producing Buckeye athletic programming for the television station (BuckI-TV) and acting as the campus radio station's Sports Director (Scarlet and Gray Sports Radio). As a sports information graduate assistant, he will function as the lead contact for the Jaspers' men's soccer, golf, men's and women's swimming and men's and women's lacrosse teams. Along with those duties, Horowitz will serve as the lead play-by-play announcer for many of the Manhattan College athletic teams at GoJaspers.com. He will be working towards his master's degree in counseling this fall.

Teresa Moran (New City, N.Y.), returns to Manhattan College after receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2008. Moran, will work as an integral part of the Jasper's ticketing department this year as well as assist in other administrative programs. She is working toward a master's degree in counseling.

Keri Morrison (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), is a familiar face to the athletic department after an outstanding four-year career (2007-2010) on the women's lacrosse team. During that time she was named to the All-MAAC First Team in 2008 and the All-MAAC Second Team and All-MAAC Tournament Teams in 2009 for her play in the midfield as a member of the Lady Jaspers. After hanging up her stick this past spring, Morrison decided to return to Manhattan College as a member of the compliance department, where she will assist in procedural work and helping the school meet all necessary NCAA rules and regulations for the 2010-11 athletic season. She will be pursing her master's degree in education this fall.

Milos Vuckovic (Brus, Serbia), has been associated with the Jasper's athletic program since 2006 as a member of the men's cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams. During his tenure with Manhattan College, he has enjoyed great success including, a first place finish in the 800m run at the 2008 MAAC Outdoor Championships and two silver medals in the 800m and 1 mile run at the 2009 MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Still a member of the cross country team, Vuckovic will work double-duty as he competes as a Division 1 athlete and serves as an equipment and operations graduate assistant. His roles will include taking inventory of all equipment, disbursement of team apparel each season and assistance with game day operations. After obtaining a bachelor's degree double majoring in finance and computer information systems from Manhattan College last year, he will now look to procure a master's degree in counseling this fall.
