Lady Jaspers Grab Fourth in College White Division of Paul Short Cross Country Meet

Women's Cross Country Places Fifth at MAAC Cross Country Championships With Kennedy, Dobbin Leading the Way

Riverdale, N.Y. -- The Manhattan College women's cross country team placed fifth at the MAAC Cross Country Championships run today at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.   Manhattan's top runners were seniors Erin Kennedy who finished 10th overall and Ellen Dobbin who finished 11th overall.  Both ran sub 23 minute races.

 

The Lady Jasper runners had an average time of 23:07.64 over the 6K course.  Iona College won the team championship.

 

Kennedy ran the course in 22:44.37, while Dobbin posted a time of 22:45.79.  Other Lady Jasper scorers were:  sophomore Jelena Rankovic, who finished 17th overall in 23:04.93; junior Mary Consiglio, who finished 28th in 23:29.13; junior Melissa Trauscht, who placed 31 in 23:33..94; freshman Maria Jangsten, who finished 37th in 23:42.92 and junior Angela Bernarde, who placed 43rd overall in 23:55.81

 

Placing second to the meet winner Iona was Rider University, followed by Marist College, Loyola College, Manhattan, Canisius, Fairfield University, Siena College, Niagara University and Saint Peter's College.
